For NewDay USA Employees, Giving Back Is Always an Option

Since 2014, NewDay USA employees have logged more than 5,000 volunteer hours in support of Veteran causes.

Real Work

Not every volunteer day is a check presentation or a ribbon cutting. NewDay USA employees have spent weekends building a barn at Boulder Crest, a wellness retreat for combat Veterans and their families in Bluemont, Virginia, cleaning streams and maintaining the grounds. Volunteers have cleaned floors, assembled furniture, and built a swing set for a Veteran family receiving a home renovation through Military Makeover with Montel. A group built a memorial garden in South Florida honoring Chris Hixon, a retired Navy Veteran killed protecting students during the Parkland school shooting.

Various Locations

Each year, employees who want to participate travel to Washington, D.C. to hand-wash the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall alongside its founder, Jan Scruggs. Others have helped maintain the Korean War Veterans Memorial and the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, and have laid wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery and Annapolis National Cemetery through Wreaths Across America.

The People You Serve Are the Ones Veterans Depend On

At The Baltimore Station, a residential program for homeless Veterans in Baltimore, NewDay USA employees volunteer regularly. In May 2026, approximately 100 NewDay USA volunteers chose to spend a Friday serving lunch to roughly 500 nurses, caregivers, first responders, and healthcare professionals at the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, as part of the company's "Hearts Behind Our Heroes" initiative. 

Year-Round Commitment

Through Operation Help a Hero's Operation Christmas Spirit program, employees have adopted active-duty military families for the holidays, providing gifts, groceries, gift cards, and clothing. 

The company has served as presenting sponsor of the Palm Beach County Veterans Day Parade for three consecutive years. The NewDay USA Foundation, established in 2013, has awarded more than $10 million in scholarships to more than 125 children of servicemembers, including children of Gold Star families and severely disabled Veterans.
